The Secret Life of Language
Developing a Regular Writing Practice
with Bryonie Wise at Kula Annex
Tuesdays, October 3, 10, 17 + 24; 6:45pm to 8:15pm
Daily practices, rituals or habits are supportive spaces to return to when the world around us feels like it’s tumbling to pieces. They can be safe places we create to feel the feelings—to process too-much hurt or anger or fear and transform them into mindful, loving action.
When we move our bodies, we are actively shifting around the stories and experience our cells contain.
In this four week workshop, we’ll combine movement, stillness and pressing pen to page to explore the deeper landscape of what it means to be human. We’ll translate what we feel into a language of our own.

The Alchemy of Autumn: The City Edition
Sunday, October 21st, 1 to 4pm
Sacred gardener, earth lover and educator Kat Gibson + artist, heart alchemist and daughter of nature, Bryonie Wise are coming together again to invite a deeper kind of listening to the medicine that nature offers in the wild entanglement of the city.
As we tumble into Autumn’s embrace, there is an opportunity to experience the alchemy that this season reflects back to us. Alchemy is about turning something ordinary into gold - like the green of summer leaves shifting into an assortment of deep golden, amber hues.
In the city edition of this workshop, we'll explore the ways in which this particular seasonal shift can invite us into feeling, sensing and knowing our own alchemical processes, even with the buzz of the traffic that surrounds us.
Through a meditative exploration of our relationship to the rhythms, cycles and changes of the natural world around, you’ll be guided into an embodied experience in the garden, opening up to the magic and metaphor of the garden and beautiful and complex landscape that is city living.
All participants will take home a special gift from our hearts to yours.

October 27th to October 29th at Woodfield Life
Join Bryonie Wise and The Quiet Company for a two-day heart nourishing movement and mindfulness retreat deep in the heart of nature (with the sweet bonus of a sound bathing ceremony with special guest, Megan Marie Gates).

Explore self-doubt and self-love and and self-expression and recalibrate your understanding of how all of this self work impacts our connection with all beings, everywhere. Calm you mind. Focus your heart. Practice presence with where you are and how you are, in this moment.
Our weekend will include slow moving mediations on nature medicine, yoga, stillness, breath and the art of becoming.

*human is what we are // 30 days to begin again
November 1st to November 30th
Daily rituals, practices or habits are helpful spaces to return to when the going gets tough and the tough gets us going.
They can be safe places to feel all the feelings—to process too-much hurt or anger or fear and transform them into mindful, loving action.
When we take care of ourselves—truly, madly, deeply—we often do a much better job at taking care of each other.
It's kinda like building into our heart memory a cabin in the woods, or a room of our own—one that we can return to anytime—just like the breath that moves through these bodies, minds and hearts.
H.I.W.W.A.* is a thirty day virtual course designed to support the re-activation (or implementation) of a daily writing ritual—it's also a practice of radical self-care.
For the month of November, as we lean into the Winter season, the ask is for you to carve out ten non-negotiable, sacred minutes every single day to write. No more, no less.
Maybe you'll rise early and sit with morning sun and a mug of something warm or iced—or maybe, you're a night owl and prefer to write by the light of the stars.
H.I.W.W.A.* will be delivered to your inbox daily—packed with daily meditations, cosmic musings and heart-inspired writing prompts, the content will vary from day to day to keep us all awake and on our toes.
No previous writing experience is required.
Cost: 30 Days for $30
