This is the imagination station.
The liveliest part of my heart that keeps patient as the words form and reform; as I daydream what I can make next that has wings to travel far and wide, to the other side of the multi-verse, maybe, to land in the hands of someone who needs it.
Our art, our making, our showing up in the world in the ways that we do has an enormous affect on how we look after ourselves, and how we look after each other.
From a young age, making has been an essential part of who I am becoming.
Books weren't just books—they were a doorway into another way of seeing and when Lucy climbed through the wardrobe, I was not far behind her. Things weren't just as they are—digging into a chest full of old clothes, we became characters and put on the most extravagant productions. The bottom of the garden wasn't just a line of hedges—it was thick jungle full of fairies and other mystical creatures.
This page, Narnia, will one day be a portal into another dimension.
I hope to create something that is akin to stepping through to the other side and inviting wonder to take over.
Let awe have it's way.
A place that offers comfort, inspiration and offerings that can travel with you, wherever in the world you are.
For now, I am currently at work on three projects—one book (Stories My Mama Told Me After She Was Gone) and two medicine card tarot decks—the first of which I hope to release this October and last of which is a collaboration with a kind-hearted doodle master.
For later, there is so much more to come.
If you are interested in becoming a patron for a specific project and would like to learn more details about any (or all of the above), please contact me here.
If you are inspired to support the flow of making word and art medicine in the wild unknown, this is the place where offerings can go.
Thank you for believing in me.
PS: I'm leaving up the secret-password-handshake-dance-open-wardrobe-tra-la-la to keep magic alive, okay?
